The Host Program benefits all Canadians by:

Facilitating the settlement and integration of new immigrants to Canada
Sensitizing the wider community to the needs of new immigrants, and engaging them in responding to these needs
Assisting newcomers to realize their full potential in Canadian society

Through the interactions and responses of newcomers and program volunteers, Host models integration as a two-way process. Both parties gain and learn from the relationship.
